Franz Von teams up with long time collaborator K.O.G (Zongo Brigade/Onipa) to bring you Asem.

Continuing with the Marseille Sheffield connection from Franz Von's previous release (Her Frequency feat Cynthia Bahy) Asem is a production collaboration which continues to connect two scenes – Marseille based producer Labo Klandestino and Sheffield based Tom Excell (Nubiyan Twist/Onipa).

Genre bending dynamic sounds with live drums and heavy bass fusing classic boom bap hip hop with elements of rock. Combined with Franz Von's compelling lyrical content and fierce delivery accompanied by K.O.G's unmistakeable vocals, you can hear flashes/influences of Rage Against the Machine.

The term Asem is from the Ashanti language 'Twi' spoken in Ghana. Asem meaning problems.
